In a world where instagram and facebook are seeming to feel more and more self indulgent I thought to myself ‘why not write a blog?’ It probably falls into the same category but at least this way you have chosen to get yourself here, I am not just bombarding my followers/friends as and when I choose.

When I returned home from Costa Rica last year (I went away by the way.... did I mention that yet?!) I told the same stories probably about a hundred times over, explaining how absolutely stunning it was and how I met the most wonderful human who changed my life. I don’t think I will ever tire of telling the story of camping on the beach at the edge of the jungle under the milkyway, fireflies twinkling in my peripheral vision, toasting cheese on sticks and swimming in the ocean butt naked. Each time I run through this memory people’s eyes light up (probably because mine do also) and the magic is re-lived, some people have said to me that it sounds like a disney movie scene and that it would make a great book.... So it lead me to think that a blog about this extensive trip could be of interest and maybe contain some more of life’s magic.
